Avis Europe: delivering ROI across 11 European countries  

The challenge 

 

Avis Europe partnered with Web Liquid to launch a multi-channel digital marketing campaign across eleven European markets including France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Spain. While previous Avis Pan European campaigns had delivered strong return on investment, the focus of the New Years campaign was on delivering "quality revenue" - increasing the volume of outbound revenue.  

 

The tailored solution 

 

Having previously managed three Avis Pan European campaigns, we leveraged over twelve months of learning's, focusing on four key initiatives:  

 

1. Establish a foundation of ad network activity in each market

 

2. Leverage destination specific placements across travel, mapping and news sites to increase average booking value

 

3. Leverage creative messaging that highlighted benefits as opposed to purely price

 

4. Optimize the campaign every 24 hours, removing, rotating and adding placements, sites, messages and targeting filters 

 

The results

 

The New Year Sale was the most successful campaign over the previous three years in terms of ROI delivering on the established target of inbound revenue versus domestic revenue.
